The solid-topped grand auditorium body of the Sire R3GZ delivers big and balanced acoustic sound. The slimmer waist of this model offers a more comfortable and manageable playing experience than the larger, more classic dreadnought shape while the considerably wide lower bout, mahogany back and sides, and spruce top ensure masses of presence. The Larry Carlton R3DZ: One External Preamp and Two Pickups

The most surprising feature of this guitar is the amplification system. While this fully-fledged electro-acoustic comes with an integrated piëzo pickup, it also comes with an external Zebra 7 preamp and an extra sound hole pickup included. The sound hole pickup is easily mounted and, using the BLE control on the preamp, the balance and mix between the piëzo and sound hole pickups can be set. If the amplified sound is feeling a little bit thin, then simply hit the PH switch to flip the phase and thicken things up. Besides the input gain and output volume, the Zebra 7 also provides a three-band EQ so the amplified sound of the Larry Carlton R3 can be customised in detail. And, to finish the very personal nature of this model, it comes including a detached scratchplate that it can be mounted only if it's actually needed.
